A hatrick!

I'd like to thank the people who supported us last week (And took extensive interest in Miki and Gabbie) in the "Ultima noite" battle of the bands in Our lady of Pilar montessori in Las Pinas. We (Me, at least in particular) wouldn't know where we would be without the support. It almost felt like a repeat of the "Sigaw animo" battle of the bands last november! Only this time it felt more like a gathering.. A company pic-nic/family reunion if you will! Although I have to mention there were little problems along the way. (Particularly whoever broke the bass amp by plugging a guitar into it. He was smart! *NOT*) I still managed to have fun.. and lo and behold we came out on top! Im very honored that we were able to garner another victory in our belts. I, for one, personally find it as a motivation or a challenge to push my boundaries for the sake of entertaining the audience. I love performing my passion, which is Music and I hope to see you (The reader) in one of our gigs sometime. Rest assured I'll push my guitar beyond it's boundaries! Thank you for the support! peace out!

Featured Music:

First of all.. Dont ask! Im just as surprised as you are. I got to listening to this song about a month ago through my bandmates who wanted to collaborate with an all-girl band from the north called "Katol".(I was more than happy to!) They made me listen to some of the songs that they wanted a riff similar to for me to make. This song, however, somehow grew on me. It's not a bad thing at all! It's just that my friends just find it peculiar for me to be listen to something like it. They see me more of a hair metal, instrumental Rock kind of person. But I dont care! I just say one thing to them everytime: "F*ck all y'all"!

The song's album "All we know is falling" was released in 2005. And although this particular song wasn't really released as a single, it's worth noting that it's album in its peak reached #8 in the UK rock chart.

20th Anniversary Ibanez JEM

Hey! Have you seen this guitar they unveiled a few weeks back?? I only got one word to describe it: "Kick-ass"! It's a huge departure from the conventional limited-run Ibanez JEM's they've made in the past. F*ck the swirl paint finish! They made it 3D inside the transparent acrylic body! And it doesn't end there.. It even illuminates! They put in green LED's that light up from the inside. And the thing that I most admire with this guitar is that they've actually compensated for the Acrylic-resin body's thickness and density by making special pickups designed to get the best output! Not to mention Ibanez and Steve stuck to their vintage Ibanez roots by opting to go with the gnarly color combination. It reminds me of the early loch-ness green and Desert yellow JEMS along with the swirl-finished Universe 7-string Steve used to play back in the late eighties. They're only making 500 of these babies (200 being sold in the United States) and reports say that you'd probably fetch one of these (considering you got the resources) for $6,666.65! Hey! I can dream, can't I?

"Shooting for the moon"

"I was high above the trees. Everything was more vivid than I thought was ever possible. I saw things from all sides. Then I realized I wasn't perceiving things through my human eyes."
An excerpt from the song "Blue powder" from Steve Vai's "Passion and warfare" album . **I drew this sketch a few months back. I got really bored during math class and was really depressed at the time. As to why.. I'll leave that a mystery. But that would probably explain the melancholy theme to this drawing.
